Associated Ambulance Hinton Station, actively participated in the PARTY program, for 6 weeks. The Hinton station delivered a presentation for the local grade nine students about the affects on what would happen if you were to drink and drive. Explaining about what steps EMS would take to save their lives. EMS along with other resources like Fire and Police then would show them a mock MVA; where we actually will take a patient out of a vehicle who was hit by a drunk driver and the drunk driver would be arrested. EMS would then bring the patient to the hospital and with the help of the ER staff; we then show the students a trauma scenario, where the patient ends up dying from their injuries.
